DONATING TO THE VICTORIAN ACTORS' BENEVOLENT TRUST

"I asked for an angel and one came..."

We invite friends and supporters to consider supporting the VABT Donor Program. There is no minimum donation amount. All donations are appreciated as every dollar goes towards assisting those most in need in the arts and entertainment community.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Your donation will be acknowledged on the website and in other printed materials, unless you choose to remain anonymous. Further, you will gain the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped those struggling with poor health or through tragic personal circumstances in the industry.

The trust holds fundraising activities such as bucket rattles, events and joint productions which enable us to raise much needed funds.  An essential part of our ability to assist those is the generosity of our supporters.

Our Donors generosity in the past has enabled the VABT to:

  • Provide an electric wheelchair to an elderly actress in a nursing home.

  • Support six members of the industry in their battles with cancer, two of whom received funds to attend the ‘Gawler Foundation’.

  • Finance a hip replacement operation for a respected member of the industry.

  • Assist the families of past recipients with ongoing financial support.

  • Maintain a relationship with 14 members of our community by giving them an Annual Christmas Grant.

Assistance is anonymous and assessed by the VABT committee on a case by case basis. We support members of all ages.  The VABT Donor Program has a range of levels from Supporter through to Start Donor. We encourage you to select one of these levels, you will receive back the satisfaction of knowing that you have assisted someone down on their luck in this tough and at times unforgiving industry where the average actors earns $20k per annum.

Supporter: $2 plus
Friend: $25 - $99
Affiliate: $100 - $499
Laureate: $500 - $999
Associate: $1000 - $1499
Circle: $1500 - $2499
Inner Circle: $2500 - $4999
Centre Stage: $5000 - $9999
Star Donor: $10,000 and above
